Our lovely Edwardian building is a comfortable and elegant place in a warm and friendly setting. Our beautiful flower garden is a perfect spot to unwind. The RedHouse is known for delivering top-notch care.
We invite visitors to see why our residents' home is such a wonderful and caring place to live. It's a place with a cozy atmosphere, tasty homemade meals, daily activities, and care customised for each resident's needs.
Who are we
The care of our residents is our primary priority at The RedHouse Care Home. Our care is person focused, recognising the uniqueness of each individual and their rich life experiences; this is at the heart of our care delivery. We blend our assessments and subsequently tailor every care package to meet individual physical, emotional and social needs, wishes and preferences; this is described as person-centred care.
Each and every member of our team is enthused by a very personal and passionate goal, to make a real difference every day. RedHouse Care Homes reputation among care professionals means that our home routinely attracts the best candidates for vacancies. Once they have joined us they are supported by comprehensive and continuing training, supervised by dedicated training officers.
Residential Care
Our home is for people aged 65 and older who need help with daily tasks like cooking, bathing, and taking medications because they can't do it at home anymore. Some residents choose to live here because they don't want to be alone or manage their own homes. We aim to give them peace of mind and a place to make friends and explore new interests. We provide care 24/7, led by well-trained healthcare professionals. If you have a terminally ill relative, our qualified healthcare assistants will make their life and yours easier, ensuring they are as comfortable as possible.
Person Centered Care
At RedHouse, our goal is simple: we want to provide the best care possible in a great environment, delivered by well-trained staff. We aim to create a warm and welcoming place where residents are happy, and families feel like they're part of our family too. Our dedicated staff understand that everyone is unique, and they tailor their care to each person's needs and preferences. We're always here to help, and our caregivers know more than just names – they know the people they care for, their personalities, and what they like. We always respect everyone's privacy and dignity.
Respite and Day Care
Respite care is a short-term service for those who need extra support, whether it's for recovery from an illness or to provide a break for a caregiver. It can last for a day, a week, or a few months. Our goal is to make sure respite residents have a variety of fun activities, enjoy delicious and nutritious meals prepared by our resident chef, and have the opportunity to make new friends. Many respite residents end up staying with us permanently, as it's a great way to experience the quality of care we offer.
We have an inclusive approach for all respite residents, regardless of the length of their stay. We prioritise their independence and freedom of choice while providing 24/7 support for peace of mind.
Our care is available around the clock and is provided by highly skilled healthcare professionals with NVQ Certificates in healthcare. They also undergo rigorous ongoing training to ensure the best care possible.
RedHouse Accommodation
At The RedHouse Care Home, we have luxurious bedrooms and a spacious dining area where residents can enjoy fresh food cooked by our talented chefs.
We offer all the modern facilities that are adapted to all types of patients, ensuring a high-quality of life maintained. Residents can interact with each other, play quizzes and go on days out. We want all of our residents to feel content and go the extra mile to ensure that they get the best out of their stay here.
Quality Meals
Our menus at RedHouse are always changing, and we use high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. We aim to excel in our kitchen just like in every other aspect of our home. To achieve this, we involve our residents in creating menus they'll love every day.
We believe in giving our residents the freedom to choose what they eat. This approach helps us keep the kitchen and dining experience as organized and enjoyable as the rest of our home.
We're flexible and can accommodate even the most unique dietary needs. Our kitchen staff are experts at ensuring everyone has an enjoyable mealtime.
Meet the Registered Manager
Amanda Allen
Registered Manager
Amanda, our dedicated manager, has made her mark in various facets of the health and social care arena. Her extensive experience spans mental health, learning disabilities, managing challenging behaviours, nursing care, residential care, day services, activities coordination, and emergency respite care. To complement her wealth of practical knowledge, she has earned NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care at Levels 2, 3, and 5.
Amanda's long-standing affiliation with RCB began with her involvement at The Red House, which was among the first homes to join the RCB family many years ago. During her leisure hours, Amanda treasures quality moments spent with her family and friends, with a particular fondness for engaging in sports with her sons. Her interests also extend to watching football matches and exploring new destinations through travel!
Review from Christina Y (Daughter of Resident)
"My mum has been a resident at The Red House for nearly four years and I couldn't be more reassured that the care she receives is of the best quality. The home has also invested time and money making improvements to the living environment and is a bright, warm and happy place to visit. Over the last year, the home have been fantastic keeping the residents safe and keeping us a family, updated on Mum's condition at all times. I cannot praise the staff enough and thank them. As a relative, it's important not to worry about her care. It honestly feels like Mum is part of a big family that envelope her in love, care and attention. Thanks to the manager and team."
