Meet the Registered Manager
Emma Hernandez-Wyatt
Registered Manager
Emma's impressive journey began with her qualification as a Registered General Nurse in Spain back in 2001, achieving a commendable 2:1. Her decision to relocate to the UK was driven by her participation in a UK and Spanish nursing program, as well as the desire to be closer to her grandmother. Emma expanded her nursing repertoire by becoming a Tropical Nursing nurse, allowing her to contribute her skills globally for nearly eight years.
In 2011, Emma shifted her focus to nursing homes, where she took on various roles, progressing from a nurse to a deputy and eventually a manager. Her dedication to professional growth is evident through her completion of a Master's degree in Advanced Health Care Practice, with a specialised interest and thesis in Palliative Care.
In her leisure time, Emma remains committed to learning, currently pursuing an MSC in Education. Emma's passions extend to the culinary arts, as she enjoys both cooking and baking. As a mother of two children and a dog, she finds joy in embracing both her Spanish and English cultural heritage.
Review from Colin L (Son of Resident)
"I would like to say that the care, attention given to my mother while she was at Heather Dale was excellent. Carried out in a professional manner by all members of staff who were all very caring in the way that they all worked to make her very comfortable. All staff were very helpful at all times nothing was too much trouble for them we were always made welcome when we visited. Always kept informed by the staff including the nursing team at the home of all her care and treatment. I would recommend this nursing home. Score 10 out of 10"
Review from Sandra B (Daughter of Resident)
“My family and I bless the day we found this nursing home. We had looked at 8 others and just felt each one was not up to the standard that we wanted for our Mum. Mums health deteriorated very quickly mentally and psychically but Heather Dale's excellent care and understanding made this so much easier to deal with. The carers and nursing staff could not have been more caring and devoted to our Mum than if she had been their mother. Mums dignity was totally respected and they would lovingly talk to Mum about anything she wanted to converse about. Everyone from the manager, the cook, carers and cleaners, would pop in and have a chat and spend a bit of time with her. Someone from the family would visit daily so we were able to see at all times what a wonderful nursing home this is. I have nothing but high regard for all the staff for their time and care spent with Mum. Thank you, everyone.
Review from Raymond W (Brother-in-law of Resident)
“Thank you for the care given to my brother in law. I know what a difficult character he is! Also, he has certain mental problems which you have tried hard to address with a good degree of patience. Although he is never satisfied with his lot in life, and therefore is unlikely to thank you himself, we at least understand your difficulties and thank you for finding alternative accommodation for him.”
